I managed to 'misplace' the GO button that used to follow my address line.

Hi Keith 
Try this and see if it helps:
Go to IE>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab
Scrool down and under Browsing
Check the "Show Go button in address bar" box
or...
Unlock the toolbar, right click in the space after the
Address bar, click on "Go Button" in the menu that pops up
and lock the toolbar again.

The Go button is missing from the Internet Explorer Address bar
