See GMails's support site. I believe the ports have to be changed to (not
because of WLMd but because thats what GMail wanted) and you have to enable
POP in your GMail account.

pop.gmail.com port 995
smtp.gmail.com port 465 or 587

Requires authenication

Look thru some past posts on the topic.

incoming server = pop.gmail.com port 995
outgoing server = smtp.gmail.com port 465

check the box for My Server Requires Authentication

i get this error ((((The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'gmail', Server: 'gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E))) can someone give me the
steps to setup up gmail correctly please

Hi,

I've face the same problem as well.
you might check out all the discussions about the problem occur relate to
gmail through the website below:

There are plenty of people talk about the pop problem, I believe it will end
up with some solution later on, just be patient, wait until any notices come
up from gmail support.

This just started happening, but Gmail's POP server is not responding.
Please don't flood this newsgroup with queries about it.

On the 'Advanced' tab of your POP client, enable This server requires an
encrypted connection (SSL) for the POP server. and chang the ports pop 995
and stmp 465
