gmail?

Can someone explain to me how people get invites for gmail? I visited
them and signed up for information several months ago but I guess that
isn't how invites happen.

Is there any way to get one now and if so how?

You need to find someone with an account and they have to send you an
invitation.

Also, the gmail user must have invites allotted to them. A nice lady invited
me today, so I have an account. But I don't have the link to invite anyone.
If I did I'd hook as many people up as possible.

Give the invites time. ;) I started getting mine a few days after making
my account.
