Yes that is the one I think you can sign up for it today after reading more
I'm not sure it starts today

The gist of it is do you trust google to scan all your email and send
you advertisements on the basis of what is in your email.

I guess since most people's mail is sent in the clear the issue is do
you trust your current ISP or anybody else in the Net path from sender
to you?

I haven't read the piece. Does Google mind if all your email is
encrypted?

If their scanning is completely automated and no records are kept of
the actual scan results, I suppose it wouldn't be a problem for most
people.

Of course, once the FBI gets a warrant for somebody on Google and
turns up tons of email, that will be the end of GMail.
