I would like a little help on developing a PowerPoint macro to assist
in my website development. I have a token of thanks to the person who
can help me: a gmail invitation.

My site (http://www.slidebay.com/) is a developing search engine that
will focus on medical PowerPoint slidesets. I need a way of extracting
the text and the pictures to index and would like a macro to do this. I
could probably just post a request here, but thought I could offer
something in return now that I have a few invitations.

The full description of what I'd like is here:

Here's some code to get you started if you want to do it yourself.

Export Text to a text file (Mac or PC)
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00274.htm

Export slides as graphics
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00022.htm

Creating something that'd run on a server and automatically process files to
spec is a lot bigger task than a free email account would pay for. Been there.
Done that. http://ppt2html.pptools.com (there's a batch version that'd do
pretty much what you're after)

Hi, Steve!

Thanks for that suggestion. You are right, I wasn't asking for the
server version but these macros worked on my test presentation. I am
still happy to send you the invite if you want it -- just send an email
on my site or to this account...

Since, for the time being, I am nowhere near being able to afford
ppt2html (even if the features are great and leave me drooling) I will
tinker away at these macros :-)

Since there may be alternatives or improvements, I have a few other
invitations left and will leave the prize open also for other
suggestions. I basically want to give them away to like minds in the
theme around my website.
Thanks again!

No problem, those were lurking on the FAQ anyhow. Save the email deal and see
if it lures in something even more useful. ;-)

Just to be sure, did you look at the regular version or the Batch/Server
version? Shoot, kick back to only starblock's three double venti fromiolato
muchocaramello marcheblotto espressos a day and you'll save up the diff in no
time. ;-)
