Is there any place that lists the current models of LCD monitors
by whether or not their screeen panels are glossy or matte?
I would like to buy a 26" model with glossy screen, and this info is
near impossible to find.

This site maintains a database of widescreen LCDs but they don't say if they
are glossy or not in the specs, you have to the read reviews to find out and
they don't have reviews for every model. Models with blue hyperlink have
reviews though. Check out Gateway models as I known they sell decent glossy
screen LCDs. I almost bought their 22" model but in the end opted not to go
with a glossy screen as they get issues with light reflections. Which is not
an issue if you use low lighting in your computer area. The glossy screen
does seem to give the appearance of richer blacks though.
