I'm looking for a way to enact system wide, user specific settings. i.e.: I
have xx amount of users already setup and using terminal services. I now
want to go back and make some Internet Explorer connection settings changes
that will affect all the users without having to log in as each user and
make the changes.

(hope that made sense)

TIA

Group Policy -> User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer Maintenance. There is an advanced tab that is hidden by default, but if you right-click on "Internet Explorer Maintenance" you can select "Preference Mode" which exposes the Advanced Tab

One of the most common things accomplished here is to limit the size of the "Temporary Internet Files" cache

Hmm, only one problem. When I try to access the Advanced policies under
there, the gpedit mmc just closes and Dr Watson reports:

Event ID: 4097
The applicaton, mmc.exe, generated an application error The error occured on
03/11/2004 @ 14:20:20.187 The exception generated was c0000005 at address
03284FD8 (<nosymbols>)

I'm going to reboot the server, but that take a little while.... (
Lot of users in the middle of documents and all.

Yea, its weird. I've tried from the console, and from a client, and I get
the same results after a reboot....

Maybe try from a workstation, instead of the server?
