Hello,
Came in this A.M. to discover that ALL our AD Global Distribution
groups have NO members. Our Net Admin restored one of the AD servers
from last night's tape and from several day's ago - still no members
in any of our groups.
We don't have a lot of AD experience, anyone have suggestions?
TIA,
TYa
Well, this is difficult to say but if it's been overwritten, then it has
been overwritten. You say you restored a tape from last night AND from
several days ago? When were the groups origianlly created? Between several
days ago and last night and the 'several days ago' backup was used to
restore over "last night's backup" restore? Are these groups Query Based
groups? If the group members are missing, then I would suspect something
else is going on and there are other issues occuring and this is just a
symptom. What errors are in the Event logs (any of them)?
