I would like to have a Global Contacts folder. I do not want to have a
contacts folder that is a favorites folder of public folders
I would like this folder to be available to anybody on a corporate email
server.
I would also like this folder to be able to be updated and then everybody on
the system can get the updates when they synchronize.

Is this type of contacts folder possible in OUTLOOK 2003.

I appreciate any help somebody can give me! thank you
Mike

Your post is contradictory. You say you don't want a public folder, yet a
public folder is exactly what you would need in order to have a global
contacts folder, assuming Exchange is your mail server. Maybe there's
something you're not telling us?

Hello Sue Mosher

OK you caught me!

The company I work for has a global contacts folder in Public Folders. I
find that when I am on the road it is a pain to connect to the server to be
able to download all Public Folders. So I like to work offline and sync
outlook and be on my way. I thought there may be a way to have a company
wide contacts folder (similar to the addressbook in outlook) that was not in
Public Folders, so when I am on the road I did not have to spend the time
downloading public folders and could sync this folder when synchronizing,
email, contact and address book etc

Thank you for your time and help
Mike

Add that folder to Public Folder\Favorites and you'll be able to sync it for
offline use.
