Newbie and not sure whether this should be posted here on in Exchange list so please bear with me

I am trying to create an address book of external contacts. The are our clients and customers that are not users and don't have accounts in our domain but people that we deal with regularly. I want this address list to be part of our Global Address List that shows up in Outlook etc. so that we have a single place to store these addresses. How can I do this

New entries and modifications are relatively few and the sys admin can take care of that--in other words, I don't mind it if it requires sys admin priveleges to make modifications

Exchange docs says that all address lists are based on Active directory and hence the question to this list

Many Thanks in Advance
Nant

Hi Nant,

I assume that you are using Exchange 2000 in which case you can create
mail-enabled "contacts" instead of m.e. users and this can be visible or
hidden from the GAL.
