If it's truly happening in the placeholders, go to View | Master and
remove
the fill from the placeholders on the masters. They may be filled with
what
used to be the background color, which is why you're seeing them now but
don't on the original file.
You may need to reapply the slide layout after you change the master.
Format
| Slide Layout, then choose the appropriate one from the task pane.

Similarly, when I insert slides from another presentation, in the new
presentation the slides have a white fill in the placeholder that I
don't
want. This attribute is not on the original slide or on the new
presentation. How can I make it go away? I am having to change every
slide's placeholder in the new presentation to "no fill" slide by
slide.

I have about 50 slides in a power point presentation. Each has a
different
background fill. How do I globally change the background fills for
all
slides to white. Thanks for any assistance rendered.
