I have 3 AD servers and two Exchange servers. Two AD
servers and 1 Exchange reside on a different subnet across
my VPN tunnel. All my clients are setup to use the
Exchange server on the local subnet. I know that AD is
used to look up names on the GAL. I want all my clients
on the local subnet to use the local AD server. I thought
if I edit the following registry key (see below) it would
force clients to use the local server

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging
Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook\dca740c8c042101ab4b908002b2fe182
]"001e6602"="ad03.acme.net"

However, when I make the change it will revert back to the
original server. How can I force client to use the local
AD server??

You might get a faster response if you post this question to an Exchange
