Global catalog problems, event id: 1126

Hello!

Im presenting problems with the global catalog in active directory, the
event viewer is presenting event id: 1126, event id: 4000

In the active directory users and groups i can see al the containers and
organizational units, but i cannot see the groups or users.

We are working with another domain that we use as a backup DC.

How can i fix the global catalog in our active directory?
 
This is likely a DNS issue.

What happens if you install the support tools and run netdiag /test:dns on
this box?

If the other DC is working, I would point both DCs at that for DNS and
restart netlogon (assuming that you are using AD-Integrated DNS and the DC
is a DNS server).

I think we'll need a bit more info.

How long has this been like this? How many DCs in total? Where are they
pointing for DNS?
