Hi ,

We have two trusted AD domains in a AD forest. On each domain we have two
2000 Server Domain Controllers one being assigned the task of GC for that
domain. All machines are logging in fine on both domains but when I checked
the DNS I found that only one of the DNS domains has the GC folder within DNS
under the _MSDCS folder. Is this Normal?

Yes, it is normal.
The Global Catalogs are forest wide and the Global Catalog records are
therefore found in Win2k under the Forest Root Domain zone in the _msdcs sub
domain.

Under Win2k3 this folder becomes a delegation and the records found in the
Forest Wide _msdcs.ForestRootDomain zone.
