Can anyone please explain to me how i give one of my computers on LAN network
access to controll the other, shutdown. logoff ect...
both computers run Windows XP professional.

You would need to be logged on as a user that is an administrator on the
other computers - one that uses the same logon/password as a user that is
administrator on the other computers. Of course the Windows Firewall would
need to be disabled or allow access from the IP address of the computer you
are using to access the other computers. --- Steve

Also you may need to disable simple file sharing on your computers so that
network users authenticate as themselves and not guest access. You can use
Windows Explorer/tools/folder options/view and uncheck the last option for
use simple file sharing. --- Steve

Okay, then i got a new problem... how can i loggon to the other computer with
the username / password? I dont know where to do that.
Thank You

One you are logged onto your computer with a logon/password that exists on
another computer as an administrator you should get seamless access to that
computer as Windows will try to authenticate you automatically with your
logged on credentials. You could do that for instance to access a share on
the other computer including the hidden admin shares such as C$ [by entering
\\computername\C$ in the run box] or by using Computer Management on your
computer and selection action - connect to another computer. If Remote
Desktop is enabled on the computer you want to manage you could also use
that to access it. Go to start/programs/accessories/communications - Remote
Desktop Connection and enter the name or IP address of the computer you want
to manage when the RDP logon box shows. -- Steve

Thank you Steve for great answers. But now there has ocured another problem,
first of all it did not work creating a user account on my computer with same
username / password as the other computer. And about the C$; I dont know how
to use that, it maybe very simple, but i could not get it to work
I allso tried to connect via Remote Desktop, problem here is that on the
computer i wish to accsess, with norwegian language ( if that have anything
to do with that ) there are suposed to come this "remote desktop" title under
"remote assistance". In rightclick my computer - properties - remote.
this "remote desktop" is not available on this computer, while it is on my
other one... know how to get it there, and im not really sure how to use
either. Im not good explaining, doing my best =)
Thank you so much! -Pen1

You mean that you only see Remote Assistance and no Remote Desktop at all??
That sounds like XP Home as XP Home does not have Remote Desktop though I
thought you said that all the computers were XP Pro. As far as C$
administrative share I also don't believe that is available in XP Home but
would be on XP Pro. You can run the command net share on your computer to
see what shares are available and of course file and print sharing needs to
be enabled as shown in the example below. You can go to Control
Panel/system/general to view the operating system of the computer where you
can not enable Remote Desktop. --- Steve

D:\Documents and Settings\Steve>net share

Share name Resource Remark

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
E$ E:\ Default share
IPC$ Remote IPC
D$ D:\ Default share
G$ G:\ Default share
C$ C:\ Default share
F$ F:\ Default share
ADMIN$ D:\WINDOWS Remote Admin
H$ H:\ Default share
MyFiles C:\MyFiles
The command completed successfully.
