Greetings,

I need to be able to temporarilly give a user rights to edit the registry.
However, even if I give the user full admin rights to the machine, I am not
permitted to edit the registry. When I log onto the machine as the user,
with full admin rights, and try to load regedit I get a message telling me
that rights to edit the registry have been disabled by the administrator,
even though I'm logged on as an administrator. I also don't get a Run option
in the start menu. I have no problem editing the registery if I log on to
the local Administrator account, but I need to be able to log on as this
user and edit the current users portion of the registry.

Any tips?

TIA

John

Have you tried to use runas? From a user account you can shift
right-click and select 'run as' which gives you the option to sign as
Admin on that one application. Good luck
