Give working product keys! My trial key doesn't work! I can't act.

I was going to use Front Page 2003 for the first time on my 30 day trial, and
it said before I use it I have to activate it with the product key. So it
goes online, and then it says my product key is invalid! So I tried
uninstalling, re-installing, double-checking the key, and still it will not
activate! There are no characters that may be confusing (like "O" for "0", or
such), it is printed VERY clearly. So what do I do? Why did I waste my money
(for shipping on the free trial)? Online support is not available on the free
trial, which is unfair! I believe I should get free support for at least as
long as the free trial! Why can't I HAVE my free trial? I can't use the
software without the key, so what is the purpose? If I can't get to try it, I
want my money back on the shipping! This is UNFAIR!!!

You should be able to get free support in trying to install the trial, just not support on how to
use FP.

So, Mr. Smarty-pants, I mean Mr Rowe, how do I get a working product key?
That is part of the install, right? I can't even get to the FP, so how would
I know if I needed help there?

Sorry, I'm very irritated at Microsoft. This is not the only issue I've had
this month. If I had a phone number that I could call, without paying a
stupid fee, Maybe I could get more help that way. Funny, they send you FREE
trials, and then when you have an install problem, they want you topay $99
per issue. What's free about that? I can't even get into the program to
decide if it's the one I want to use. Microsoft is an evil monster!

Why don't you just screw off and go away, you have pretty much killed your
chances for getting any help in this group.

I am terribly sorry if I offended YOU, but this problem is making me nuts.
You have offended ME! I didn't ask for that kind of comment. All I'm asking
for is where to get the help that my issue requires. If Microsoft had given
me a working product key to begin with, I wouldn't be bothering you! All I'm
asking is how do I get the key they sent me with the CD to work, or get a new
key? The only answers I have gotten are that I SHOULD be able to get support
for the install, but nobody will tll me where!
All I get is your rudeness! THANKS, but NO THANKS!!

Dear Grumpy Lady,

I can understand that you are annoyed, and there are indeed people in the
newsgroup who can help you, but no one will take you seriously if you post
in such a nasty tone. These people are giving their time free, and they have
no obligation to you. I have seen them take time and go out of their way to
help people, and a little politeness on your part would go a long way.

So you've got a problem. That happens. But you are not going to get any help
by screaming at people who are giving their time free.

You have an installation / activation problem
Support calls for installation and activation are no charge
- and your 1st online support request for each product is free
See
http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?ln=en-us&c1=505&prid=6690&gprid=36059i

You also have should have the option to activate by phone

Your information is flawed. Microsoft never charges anything for
installation issues. Never.

I suspect that you were probably nuts before this incident ocurred.

Hey, maybe we could get the Congress to pass special legislation to force
Microsoft to bend to your will!

OK, I am still getting the same circles I got last night. It will not let me
ask for help.
this is what I get:

No-charge support is not available from Microsoft
The product ID number you entered is for a beta or trial version of the
product, not the full retail product. For help with your problem, see your
beta or trial kit (if you received one). You may also select a different
support option below.

Why can I not get help on this problem?

Any monkey can copy. Thanks Bob for not answering my question. I need to know
where to go to get Microsoft to give me a working product key.

So YOU tell me then. Where do I go? I went through the circles and followed
the bread crumbs and this is what I get:

No-charge support is not available from Microsoft
The product ID number you entered is for a beta or trial version of the
product, not the full retail product. For help with your problem, see your
beta or trial kit (if you received one). You may also select a different

The only telephone option costs $99. What other phone number is there?

The radio button that you are supposed to be able to click for telephone help
is inactive. I can't click it.
