Hi all,
I just bought this wireless router/receiver package - includes the
wireless G router (WF719-CAPR)and 2 USB-enabled receivers (WF748-CUI) -
for a cheap price from a major retailer. Being so cheap, I'm wondering
if this product or company has problems?

Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone provide me with
insightful details.

Thanks so very much!

THIS ROUTER IS GARBAG
IT KEEPS DROPPING CONNECTIONS TO MY GIGAFAST WF747-UI WIRELES
ADAPTERS.
SIGNAL STRENGTH IS ONLY 60% EVEN THOUGH THE COMPUTERS ARE ONLY 10 FEE
AWAY FROM ROUTER
THE ROUTER WILL NOT RESET THE ADMINISTRATION PASSWORD BY USING TH
RESTET BUTTON
THEIR TECH SUPPORT LINE IS ONLY GOOD FOR THE U.S IF YOU LIVE IN CANAD
YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK, I HAVE EMAIL THEIR TECH SUPPORT AND RM
DEPARTMENTS, IT HAS BEEN OVER 4 WEEKS AND NO RESPONCE
DO NOT BUY IT IS JUNK!!!

Usually that means your adapters or the positioning of them
are poor, seldom is the router the weak link.

Maybe you have interference. Maybe all your yelling has
pissed off your neighbors and they're deliberately jamming
you.

RESTET BUTTON.

Is this bad? If it did, anyone could just walk up, reset
it, and have full access. I'd much rather it didn't reset
the PW... if you can't remember your password I suggest
writing it down.

How much tech support do you really need for a router?
Most work fine right out of the box.

I've been using this router for quite some time now (before I saw any
responses from anyone) and it's been working well thus far. However,
my complaint would be with the range of the router. It doesn't respond
too well even when the other receiver is 10 meters away.

I haven't had contact with the company yet so I can't comment on that
right now. After reading some testimonials, I sure hope I get my rebate
money in due time.

cheers,

I got the rebate OK but no luck contacting the company. I would NEVER use
one of these for a customer - D-Link works for me. I still can't configure
the damn thing - the manuals are way too hard to follow even without the
wireless section.

I have the same problem with range/speed, so I am considering buying an
external antenna (Hawking Technology - H-AI6SIP - Omni-Directional 6dB
2.4GHz Antenna with TNC Adapter). I'm wondering if I can unscrew the
current antenna and install this one. I tried already but it won't
budge and I don't want to force and risk breaking it.
