Hi,

I've just bought the card mentioned in the subject.
http://tw.giga-byte.com/VGA/Products/Products_GV-NX66128DP.htm
And it reads 0dB on the box, but in fact it emits a hissing noise
while resizing a window or something. Is that hissing sound normal?
Funny thing, I tried the demo of Doom 3 and I couldn't hear any noise...
It's kind of irritating to hear that noise while manipulating windows...

Is there something wrong with my card?

TIA
Greg

Are you sure the hissing" isn't coming from your speakers? It's
possible that some operations cause it to give-off EMI which is
picked-up and amplified by your audio components.

Yes, I'm sure. It happens when my speakers are turned off. The hissing
comes definitely from the card. There's a small coil on the card, I
suspect it to be the noise source. When I turn off the hardware
acceleration in a driver control applet, the hissing gets much quieter.
Maybe I could put some stuff on the coil to muff the noise... ;)
