Someome gave me a fairly new Gigabyte K8N Pro-Sli mobo.

(BTW: their discarded mobo is newer than anything I had in the house)

I built a machine from it which works perfectly *except* for one minor
glitch.

If I turn the machine off thru the OS and leave the supply on and connected
to power...the machine will restart flawlessly when I initiate a startup...

However if I kill the main power by turning off the UPS...the machine can
take up to 5 trys to restart...

The bios battery was a bit low...so I replaced it...but that made no
difference...

Just wondering if there are any known issues with that mobo...

Why do you want to turn off the main power?

The unit will be on a UPS that's turned off at the end of the day...

anyway...I'm making some changes in the BIOS right now to see if I can get
any improvement...
if not...I may just leave the UPS on at all times...or else just put up with
the minor inconvenience
