GigaByte driver problem

i recently updated my driver for my GA-K8NS Ultra-939
things ran smoothly but when i jumped to a game, thats were i had problems.
it would run ok for a few minutes then it would freeze up for a second or 2, then continue playing. it happened to all my games, especially on FPS games. the only way i could fix it was to do a system restore to get it working on it old drivers. im more than sure they are the right one. any insight on this?
 
Are there any bug reports for the new drivers? If your old ones work fine, its best to stick with those until a new version comes out perhaps. You might be able to update the components within the driver pack from the actual chip vendors if you look round on the net - i.e. Via/Intel etc...
 
I havent heard anything bad about it, or anything for that matter. but when i had it installed the intro to Warhammer Dawn of War ran smoothly and the gameplay was smoother too. i got it of the official site too.
