I'm thinking about upgrading to a P4 3.0 e gHz running on a Ga-8knxp
ultra 2.0 motherboard anyone have any comments or personal experiences
with that particular board? I use a lot of graphical apps is the MB a
server board or a good fast board. I'm not into "overclocking" or
gaming.

It's more geared to the server market. If you don't require SCSI or the 875
chipset, the GA-8IPE1000-L model might be a good choice. You can't go too
far wrong choosing any GB board.

I agree with S. Heenan. A very expensive board ( even more with the add-ons
and processor ) and has features you won't use or enjoy.
The GA-7N400 Pro2 is about half the price and has features you will use and
some you will grow into. This board with a 2500+ XP Barton will allow your
budget to stand a fancy AGP board and you will still be money ahead. It will
run graphics that puts you in the top 10% and it will be fast and easy new
year too.
