Cache was cleared before with not luck. Tried the things on the site you
provided with no luck. I even installed opera and firefox browsers but they
do the same thing.

LuckyStrike,

That would mean that he would be seeing image placeholders
(same size icon but three geometric shapes of different colors)
instead of Red-X.

In spite of most users' belief otherwise I think that many Red-X
are valid. The problem is that it is absurdly difficult for the average
user to make an objective determination about them.

This problem has been happening for a while on many sites. The gifs don't
show up. All setting are enabled in tools also. Any help here?

Here is a 1 of many sites that give me problems
http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-7900_7-5114325-1.html

Use the Privacy Report (Alt-V,v) to see what domain those images are
being loaded under. Mine for that site are coming in as i.i.com.com .
nslookup for that name shows that it is an alias for an akamai.net server.
One possibility suggested by that fact is that your HOSTS file may be set
up erroneously to block files from such servers.

See if those Red-X can be loaded separately, e.g. via right-click
Show Picture or even better: by right-click, Properties then copy the
Address (URL) and open that in a new window. Note: if the URL is too
long to conveniently select by dragging the mouse over it you may have to
doubleclick on a word in it, then use right-click, Select All before copying.

If you can't load the images separately chances are that the Red-X
is valid. E.g. if you used the second procedure and tried to load one
in its own window and you have *disabled* the option
Show friendly HTTP error messages
you might see the server reporting a 404 (file not found).

There is one kind of invalid Red-X which I am aware of:
the images are cached in the TIF but inexplicably not rendered.
Your example page may be a good one to test for that case.
To check you only need to set Work Offline (Alt-F,W)
and then reload the page offline (*not* Refresh!) by either cloning
the window with Ctrl-N or by going to another page e.g About:Blank
and then going back. Since About:Blank is my Home page I would
do the latter by pressing Alt-Home,Alt-CursorLeft. Cloning the window
has the advantage of giving you something to compare in case there
are *some* Red-X in both windows.

For more about that procedure and more tips for analysing and
circumventing Red-X symptoms see my troubleshooting session
with Fred Ma in May.
