I am tryin to send a gif file 'to the back' and put a com mand button 'at the
front' and set to transparent so that i only see the gif file

but when i click on it, the command related to the command button is to be
run.

but 20003 wont let me put the gif files at the back of the command button.

I ahve tried the same with a text box (putting at the front) and a sub form
(sending to the back, and that wont work either.

is their a way of either :
1. getting the on click button or on enter button of a click file to work
(GIF89a) or to force the gif file or subform to the back (ie behind the
front command button).

what i am trying to doo is ahave a gif door opening (animated) and click on
it then exit the form

Well, you can dump the use of the button, and use the click event of the
un-bound picture you pasted....

So, all objects, including pictures you put on a form do have a click
event.....
