Hi there,
Any tutorials on inserting animated full-screen gifs to
powerpoint.

I'm working on two possible ppt shows for an awards
dinner.
1. would be a series of numbers continually changing
(financial numbers - stock exchange idea)
2. rippling water background transition announcing
awardee names and pics

thanks in advance

Hi Andi,

if you have one large animated GIF, do as Sonia said. BUT: Consider that a
full-screen animated GIF will make your file BIG. You could also try to find
a suitable animated GIF that you can use as a tiled background. Use Format -
Background - Structure and search for the file to insert.

Kind regards,
Ute

thanks.... such a simple solution

If you are working with PowerPoint 2002(XP) or 2003, you might want to
consider developing the animation right in PowerPoint. The Custom
Animation tools will allow you to animate the numbers, and animate
between a few rippled water images to create the transitions.

Ultimately, you'll get better results than animated gifs, full frame
animation, and smaller file sizes than full-screen gifs.

Best wishes,
