Help!! I recently sent an e-mail, using Microsoft Outlook
2002 and included two attachments which two of three
recipients had trouble opening. The attachments were files
saved from Microsoft Outlook 2002 itself, saved in
the .msg format. Well, one recipient wasn't able to open
the attachments at all and the other recipient was able to
open the attached files but, on opening, found only binary
code. Question: Would this be a problem on the sender's
end? Or is it a case of the recipient computer programs
not set up to open these files? Anyone have any
suggestions suggestions?

Are they opening it with Outlook as well? (not Outlook Express)

I can't really say for sure; one might, since she's
opening her e-mail at work (public library), but the other
probably has Outlook Express, or perhaps a Netscape
program (the one getting the binary code). Does this
suggest that attached files should ideally be opened with
the same e-mail program in which they were attached
(Microsoft Outlook 2002)?

Indeed, or at least fully support the msg-format.

Thanks; I think I'll try other formats that I know are
obviously supported
