Anybody else seeing ~23 ghost messages when access this NG via OE?

Yes. 25 at the moment, with hacked WM in Win 7. WMUTIL "Rebuild Database"

cleans them up for me.

"Ghost messages" are a result of OE not being coded to the proper
Usenet standards. Other newsreaders do not have this problem.

No ghosts - just old farts!

Never saw anything even remotely similar, whatever "ghost" messages means.
XP Pro SP3 OE6 IE8 now; used to be IE6/OE6. Sounds like some sort of
corruption or malware.
