Ghost reads

I am running Windows XP Professional on a P4 (Gigabyte Motherboard). The
machine seems to work fine. However, the disk drive light comes on (blinks)
appx. every 2 seconds... for as long as the machine is on, even when there
is no program loading. Nothing that I can tell is running in the background.
I would greatly appreciate some help in determining what is causing the
continuous disk reads.

Control Panel|FIND FAST
Clear the items, then click on the INDEX menu and click Close and Stop
