I regularly use DiskCleaner, CleanCache as well as CCleaner a few times a
week (I do some heavy Internet surfing) to clear out accumulated junk. This
is besides the AntiVir, Adaware and SpyBot weekly runs.
Often, I check the temp folders manually to see if any file escaped
deletion. Lately I have noticed that Temporary Internet Files (after
cleaning) will contain either the saved cookies (as always) or another
folder ''Content.IE5" containing an Index.dat file only, and no cookies.
These views usually changes one to the other on the next boot but sometimes
I found I can check the TIF folder, then run any or all of the cleaning
utilities and check TIF again and now it is the other state!
I have found no co-relation between the cleaning utilities usage, boots,
browsing habits or anything else to determine what the TIF will contain when
I look at it!
No changes in functionality in my PC whatsoever, but a darned little
mystery. The Content.IE5 started appearing about three weeks ago.
No software changes on this WinXP Pro SP2 PC except for the monthly Windows
updates and updates to the utilities mentioned above.
Regards and thanks.

PS: The "2" in the subject line above refers to the second little oddity I
have found on my machine lately. I found quite a few and will only post
something that defies explanation or a purge.
