Hello!

I deleted a contact two months ago from Outlook. Recently I discovered that
when I send mail to a dl that previously had that contact in it, I get a
delivery failure for that contact.

When I go back in the dl and the email I do not see that contact listed.

I believe that there are text files that this information is stored in, but
I can't rememberr where they are. Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance!

Did you update the DL after you removed the Contact? Did you makes sure the
entry was also deleted from the DL when you deleted the Contact? What
Outlook version? What information store?

Yes

What Outlook version?

OL 2003 w/sp2

It is in Outlook Contacts.

Try deleting the autocompletion entry for this DL.
Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. --

Tried that, but it's still happening.

I give up then. Hope you enjoy Outlook.
Most of us gave up on DL's long ago for reasons like this.
