::: Does Ghost 9 offer any benefits to someone like me (who like
::: imaging etc from DOS)?
::
:: Forget Ghost and forget all crapware from Symantec. Want a good
:: imager that can work under "DOS?" Use BootIt NG from
:: Terabyte.....I love this product!! Oh, did I mention it's only
:: around $30 for the whole shebang?
:
: Sounds good. Which features of BoothItNG do you use? Do you have
: more than four partitions on a single drive?
Hmmm, I guess I use ALL its features.
That is, I use BING both as a
partition manager and also to create images of my various partitions,
which I then back up to DVD. Do I have more than 4 partitions on a single
drive? Hahahahaha.....er, yeah. On my HD0 I have 6 partitions, and on my
HD1 I have 5. BING will also allow you to have as many 254 **primary
partitions** on a single drive, although I can't for the life of me ever
imagine why anyone would want more than say, three or four (well, I guess
if you want to boot five or ten different OS's [ie, flavors] and have each
on it's own primary partition, you could do it).
:
: By way of comparison, did you ever use System Commander from
: V-Communications?
Nope, never used it. Been using BING since I dumped the crappy Partition
Magic (old PQ, now Symantec) software about five years ago, and have
**never** looked back. <smirk>
