GHO file

I have a large file on my pc with the extension .GHO.

What is it? Do I need it?

You should know what it is - you created it! As for whether you need it,
that's purely subjective - depends if you need the data it contains. If you
click on a file it TELLS you what it is!

The .gho file is a file which is all or part of an 'image' created by
Symantec Ghost.
I would say you 'need it' if you ever get in trouble on the machine and your
network admin goes looking for it. I would advise that it's safer to leave
it parked right where it is.

From reading posts here, one would gather that some OEMs have provided
Ghost files (.GHO) as the mechanism to restore the system. I would hang
onto it. Check your documentation or the online support docs to find out
more about the restore methods provided by your OEM.
