Gfx card using physical memory?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me why my gfx card seems to be taking some of my system memory? i'm not sure if it's part of vista or something but as far as i know it shouldn't need to do this. i have 2x HD4870's which are meant to be running on CrossfireX..

Perhaps the two cards have pooled together thier memory?

If there isnt any problem then i wouldnt worry about it.
