Hi

First of all i don't know if this is the place that i have to post this.
IF i'm wrong tell me where i have to post it thx.

My problem is i have a AMD 64 on a gigabyte mb.
With my abit TI4200 graf card i had no problems.
I updated it with a gf 5900xt card and now i have problems.
My pc chrashes with some games.
I have then a blue screen with the error code IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
when i look in google it don't mention anything about the card.
Don't know anymore how to fix my problem.Because i have no clue what's
wrong.
i have 512 mb memory i know it is not mutch, but i think that must be
enough, and it worked b4 with the same amount of memorie.

Thanks if you can help me

Was your TI4200 as earlier AGP 4X version or late AGP 8X
version? I'm wondering if the board just isn't too stable
at AGP 8X. Try reducing AGP to 4X and make sure all other
motherboard bios settings are at defaults. Try a newer
motherboard bios if one is available, and set the CMOS
defaults either way.

That video card uses a lot more power than a Ti4200 too, if
your power supply isn't adequate that might be it. You
might try unplugging the aux power connector from the video
card, that will (IIRC) automatically force it to a lower
clock speed, which would use less power but all other things
would remain equal (ie - same OS, same drivers, same game,
etc, etc). It'd also reduce heat buildup though so if you
suspect heat issues try temporarily pointing a fan at the
(open) case... and of course check that the video card's fan
is spinning.

Take voltage readings with a multimeter while system is
looping a game or 3D demo, etc.

As for drivers, try a newer/older/different video card
driver. Try a newer version of DirectX if you're not
runnning ver. 9.0c yet.

Check for game patches, and/or read about potential issues
in website gaming forums and/or the games' documentation
and/or FAQ/buglist on developer's 'site. Try adjusting
settings in the games. Which games work? Which don't?
Seek patches for games from their developer.

Did a google search on the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" phrase. I tried it and came
up with a lot on info. Some have narrowed it down to apps running in the
backgroud. Others say it could be faulty ram or bad ram settings in the
bios.Chck to make sure you didn't bump the ram loose when you installed the
5900.

I've flashed it to the latest availeble bios

I have a 500 Watt power suply so this is not a problem i guess

I watched the temp and its not too high
