Hi,
need info on how to start building the Win XPe. Will
appreciated it if someone can guide me. The system that I
wish to bulid on needs is quite similiar to a PC. What are
the components I need and how do I check whether is the
component needed to build the system successfully?

Thanks & regards

The easiest way (and probably only way) is like this:
- install normal WinXP or Win2K on your target and boot up
- run tap.exe (is available under utilities of your XPE installation)
- you should now have a PMQ file with all the devices that need to be
included for your target
- start target designer
- create a new configuration
- import your PMQ file
- press F5 (or run dependency check)
- do this untill no more components need to be added
now you basically have a buildable configuration for your target
note of course that if there are certain devices in your PMQ for which no
driver is available, you will need to create a component for this yourself
(with component designer and component database manager)
all of this is just very quickly summed up, for more info see the
documentation that comes with XPE (and which explains all this more
detailed)

best regards,
randy
