Many of the problems you see here in the newsgroup originate from the incorrect
design of the tables. Find and study all the resources you can on constructing
tables. Look for the topic "Normalization". Go to the MS knowledgebase - there's
a paper on the topic there. Do a google search on the topic. Go to
groups.google.com and look at threads on the topic. You will find success in
learning Access in being able to design good table structures for your database.
It will be tedious to spend time doing this but later you will thank your lucky
stars for every moment you spent at it. Once you feel comfortable that you have
the knowledge and confidence to design good table structures, get your self a
copy of Alison Balter's Mastering Access XXX Development. It will walk you
through the process of building a database. It is a very easy but very competent
read.
