Hi, I recently changed over to windows200 from XP and
opted to keep my file system in place. My sound card does
not now work, although it is just a case of conflict or
something i am sure, since the driver must still be there.
Where would the driver live and how do i resolve any
conflicts? if you know of a part of the microsoft site
that explains how to do this then please let me know as i
cn't find it. Thanks for any help,

Henry

Since you cannot install win2000 over XP
you probably formatted your drive...

you will need to determine what kind of a sound card you have
then install the drivers

you should be able to get them from the mfg

otherwise try www.driverguide.com

Greetings --

Have you downloaded and installed the Win2K-specific sound card
drivers from the sound card's manufacturer's web site? You certainly
won't find 3rd party device drivers on Microsoft's web sites.
