Getting round a PS3 memory limitation?

Having been stymied by the (apparently inbuilt) PS3 memory limitation on
complex camera movements in a lengthy story, it struck me that the practical
solution is to break up the story into 2 or more parts and make them chapters
in the video file I generate in Nero or similar. It seems to work (maybe it
was the obvious thing to do. Anything contra?)
And a question: Is there any way one can run 2 or 3 images where a text
remains unchanged while only the backgrounds dissolve into each other?

PS3 has an image limit of 300 but when
many complex movements are included
the limit affected. IOW...there is a definite
limit to project complexity. And your work-
around of making smaller projects and
combining them is the answer. BTW...
you can also combine them in Windows
Movie Maker.

Try adding the same text to all three images?

Yes, John, I 've tried that, but the problem is that just as the background
images cross-fade into one another, so the text will cross-fade. I was
looking for a way that the same text will stay there with no change at all in
tone. One sees this quite often in films (in titles e.g.) but there it's
done by superimposing two picture tracks. In professional videos? I don't
know how they do it there. One can't have everything. It was flattering
enough when I showed a PS3 story to a film editor and he commented "I never
felt it was slide-show!" I'll look at Move Maker, thanks.

Got it! Thanks, you were right, the same black text, same weight, persisted
through the dissolve of the background - I'd made a mistake in the
super-imposition!
