Getting Rid of Unused Programs

I am getting tired of seeing programs that are no longer
available, showing up on my startup tab in my "system
configuration utl." and sometimes in my "add/remove
programs". How do I get clean this up so that it may show
only the programs that is installed on my computer?

You could use the Registry Cleaner from jv16 Power Tools
(http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/index.php) to remove such leftovers. But you
should be careful and not remove things from which you do not know
that they are useless.
