My dad and I both hate QuickTime. We have gotten it
accidentally installed many times. Now, we have a new
digital camera that can only take movies in QT (*.mov)
format. Is there a way to play these in Windows Media
Player?

Thanks,
Mike

The way it is you really have no choice. It's the old Betamax VS VHS
question only this time there are three strteaming media formats and I doubt
if RealPlayer, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player are going to merge any
time soon.

You didn't inquire as to what file types the camera will work with before
buying it? Take it back and either exchange it for a camera that you can
work with or get your money back. I find it hard to believe that a modern
digital camera will only shoot clips in one format. Read your documentation
to double check the capabilities of the unit.
