getting rid of pop-ups once and for all

spybot isn't working -- i'm even getting pop-ups in ie now when ie isn't
even open! 35 in a period of 2 minutes! norton didn't work. what gives??????
any way to take a pop-up url and enter it somewhere and block it that way?

I had same problem recently - used ADWARE.COM on advice from friend and has
sorted problem - cost about £20 though.....

What version of Windows are you using and what version of IE?

If you have XP SP2 then IE has a popup blocker.

Can you run a full scan at

If you have Windoww 2000 or later you can also install the Microsoft's
Windows AntiSpyware program. See this website:
