Windows XP Professional, SP3, IE7
I was always logging on to my (personal) pc without any password. It just
blew past the briefly displayed Welcome screen and booted to Windows. I
added a .NET account, and no matter how I try to change each user identity
through Control Panel and eliminate all passwords, my pc now boots to the
login screen and hangs there. I don't have to put a password in, just hit
enter. I've read all the articles I can find on the Welcome Screen and
Eliminating Passwords, but can't find the right procedure to get back to
ignoring the login screen. Any help greatly appreciated.

Install / Run TweakUI:
<http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx>
Then go to Logon -> Autologon.

HTH,
John

Thanks. I multi posted, which is apparently a no no, and got the Tweak UI
and the "control userpasswords2" solutions, and the second one worked. But I
appreciate your help.
