when I have a new message window open and want to have notice that someone read my email when I send it--how do I put the reply option? Please send the answer to (e-mail address removed)-thank you

Click the Options button, and you'll see an option to request a read
receipt.

Be prepared for an inundation of SPAM now that you have posted your Email
address in plain text.

You can't change the setting from the Compose window. In Outlook's main
window, click Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Tracking Options.

However, if the recipient has receipts disabled, you won't see a reply even
if you've request one. That's how I have my options set. It's no one's
business but my own when or whether I read mail.

I lied. You can request a receipt from the Compose window. I shouldn't
have said you couldn't without checking. View>Options. Sorry.
