While getting ready for the Vista CPP release there are a couple of things
that I don't have answers to. I'll be running 64-bit Vista. Will F6 still be
required for installing SATA and raid drivers, also will Vista support raid
1 (mirror).

I know that 64-bit drivers are required since I've been using XP
x64 since CPP release and I'm currently using XP x64 exclusively and have
all required drivers.

Current system specifications:

AMD 4400x2 processor.

Asus A8N-E motherboard.

2x WD1600 SATA150 hard drives, Nvidia raid 1 (mirror), XP x64.

1x WD1600 SATA150 hard drive, dual boot XP x86, XP x64 plus data partition.

2GB Crucial PC3200 ECC RAM.

Asus N6600 256mb video.

Liteon DVD drive.

Liteon DVD RW drive.

USR 5610B modem

Zonet ZEW1601 wireless (Ralink chipset)

Epson CX3800 printer/scanner.

Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP Expert capture card.

I don't know what Microsoft will do about that, but on my test system (AMD
Athlon, MSI KT- Delta mobo), the SATA drives are recognized without
additional drivers. They're not set up as a RAID array, though.

Thank You Andre. I hope there will be fewer raid issues and conflicts with
Vista than there were with x64. The mother board that I'm currently using
only has 1 raid chip not 2 or 3.

yes it will be f6 like but you'll be given the option of installing 3rd
party drivers without the need to press f6 I believe.. also there is a good
chance that you can use x64 drivers for raid controler that will work with
Vista at least initially I know that the Intel x64 drivers will work in a
raid config during the vista 64 install. I would imagine that depending on
the manufacturer there should be little or no problem doing that.
