hi...

I was sent a powerpoint presentation (.pps) that was simply a
collection of quite good pictures. Hmm, I thinks..........some of
those would make nice screen backgrounds. No problem.......I opened
the presentation in my copy of powerpoint (powerpoint 2000) and
proceeded to first 'cut' the pictures then ''open as new image' in
Paint Shop, then saving out from Paint Shop. This worked perfectly -
for the first 14 pictures (there are 21 in total in the presentation).
But every picture AFTER number 14 does not allow me to 'cut' - the
option is greyed out. Whats going on here?

James,

Why not just open the file in powerpoint..... then

File > Save as > JPEG

duh!! :)).........that worked, and I now have all the pics saved.
But my question still remains - why did the 'cut' option suddenly
become greyed out??

It might be a peculiarity of the Office clipboard or the result of a resource
leak. Does it work better if you Copy instead of Cut?

That'd be my preference anyhow, lest I later absent-mindedly save the
presentation after having cut the photos. Ooop.
