When I plugged in my digital camera, I got a message that asked what I wanted
to do with them. The last choice was, "do not show this again", which I
chose. Now I want the message to be there, but cannot find how to reactivate
it...HELP!!!

Connect your camera with the memory card and pictures on it. Wait 25 seconds
or so for XP to recognize the camera. The LCD of the camera will change and
you will hear a sound.
Open My Computer and look under Devices with removable storage. Your camera
will be listed there as a removable drive. Right click on it and click on
Properties.
A window will open. Click on the Autoplay tab. For Select, select Pictures
and then click on the button "Prompt me...."

Dear Yves: you don't know it, but you helped me solve my
problem, too. For some reason all of a sudden, my XP
system stopped "recognizing" my digital camera and I
couldn't figure out how to get to my photos. Although
the 'autoplay' is still not working, I have at least
figured out how to get to my photos after reading your
helpful response. Thanks, Larry De Meo, N. Potomac, MD

WOW! I am so glad I read this post. I am having the exact same problem with
my digital camera and my computer. I did exactly what was said to do and NOW
I have my pictures on my computer. THANKS THANKS THANKS

Great. Glad it worked and thanks for the feedback. We never know if our
"solutions" are good, bad or indifferent unless we get feedback and feedback
helps others with the same problem.
