We have existing Exchange POP3 users would are going to starting using
Exchange IMAP.

How do I get the Outlook 2003 POP3 msgs/contacts/etc. into the Exchange IMAP
mailbox?

I have experimented and added the IMAP mailbox to the existing POP3 account
and dragged the inbox pop3 msgs into the IMAP inbox, but the msgs date/times
get changed to the present time. This is not right.

Comments??

Thank you for your time.

I forgot this information.

The POP3 user is not on a LAN with a direct connection the Exchange server.

Is it possible to make an Exchange account when one is not directly
connected to the Exchange server?

I would need to connect to the Exchange server via the internet.

How do I address the Exchange server when setting up the Exchange account
via the internet?

Make an Exchange account connection instead of an IMAP and try again.

You can do this by either creating a VPN directly to the office or configure
Exchange to use RPC over HTTP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833401

It is a little bit more complex than enabling IMAP access for users but in
the end you'll get much more out of your Exchange server solution.
