Getting NTVDM hard error

I have the Vista beta set up on two systems, one at my work and one at my
home. I'm attempting to install the Borland Database Engine on both machines.

On my work machine, this setup.exe installs fine - however, on my home
system I get a NTVDM encountered a hard error when I attempt to run the
program. Anyone have any ideas why I get the error on one machine and not on
the other?

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

I am getting the same error I have been trying to install Omnipage Pro I even
tried installing using the Compatibility setting but still got the NTVDM hard
error in connection with same error I have not been able to install my canon
660u Scanner software....Sorry no answers

I have experienced something strange. I have Vista set up on my laptop with
Abobe Creative Suite 2 installed. Everything has been working fine until last
night. Last night when I went to start up Photoshop, I received a ntvdm.exe
hard error during the program's start up. I have never had this happen
before. I don't understand why this program would even be executing when
Photoshop opens considering it is for 16 bit apps and Photoshop CS2 is
certainly not a 16 bit app.

This sounds like a programming error from the side of Adobe. That must be a
worng call.
Kind regards,
Tony Thijs

I have had this happen with a number of programs that I have tried to install
with Vista. The latest being mysql version 4.0. Would appreciate it if
someone could get back to me regarding this issue.
