I installed a game, American Street Drag, and when I play
this game I randomly get the
multiple_irp_complete_requests BSOD. sometimes the game
will aslo just lock up the machine. This is the only
game that I have this problem with and am aware that it
is probably just a buggy game. The companys support is
no help, the only advice they offer is that my drivers
may be outdated or that I need to upgrade to DX8.1. I
have DX 9.0b and the latest drivers for all my hardware.
I was just wondering if anyone had run into this problem
and had a workaround for it. I ahve re-installed the game
and also my device drivers and have come to the
conclusion that it is most likely just buggy with my
particular setup. )-: Please email me with any
suggestions if you have run into this problem. (just
remove NOSPAM from the addy.
(e-mail address removed)
I have an AthlonXP 1700+
Radeon 8500LE
SB Audigy
DLink NIC
ABIT kx7333-r mobo
512 corsair DDR PC2700

Thanks a lot for any input you guys have.

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

Disable your sound card, and any other extra devices
that you can (on board video for example if you have
an AGP card) to see if this is causing the conflict. It
may also help to use msconfig to disable all the entries
listed in the Startup tab. Turn down all video settings
in the game as well. Hope this helps you play ASD!

Thanks for your response, what I ended up having to do
was turn the game menu sounds off, for whatever reason
the rather chinsy menu sounds were locking the game up.
