I have added my mail server to Outlook TODAY. However all
my mail is still going to previously set Outlook Express
program, if I'm lucky, sometimes it goes to my on line
mail server (mailbox). And, because I have continually
selected "New Outlook data file, now have an excess of
personal folder and their subfolder.

How do I get Outlook Today to receive my mail.? I can
(finally) send from Outlook Today, but receiving is not
going on.

First of all, let's be clear -- the program is simply called Outlook
:-) Outlook Today is the summary page that you can use in Outlook to
show a list of unread messages, upcoming tasks and appointments, etc.

With that said, try the following:

1) Make sure Outlook is listed as your default mail program here:
Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs tab.
2) Remove all mail accounts from Outlook Express (unless you can't bear
to part with them for some reason).
3) Disable automatic checking for new mail in OE.
4) Only open OE if you're going to use it for newsreading (Outlook
doesn't have its own newsreader, it uses OE for that), and either open
the newsreader through Outlook (View | Go To | News) or open OE with the
/newsonly switch. This way, all mail functions in OE are disabled
anyway, so there's no chance of using them by mistake.

See if that helps you to get your mail in Outlook and Outlook only.
